Mobility Class 3 – Junior Level, guided by Melissa McCabe, offers a smooth progression through mobility, alignment, and coordination, while reinforcing strength through the core, legs, and upper body. The class alternates between stretching sequences and controlled activation, helping students improve the quality of their movement without forcing range.
The session begins with Oblique Band Flow, a combination that lengthens the obliques while subtly activating the glutes and introducing gentle side-body mobility. From here, students build into External Rotation Press and Roll, Reach, React, both of which increase adductor strength, encourage deep abdominal activation, and reinforce coordination through external rotation.
Upper-body mobility becomes the focus in Upper Body – Extension, preparing the thoracic spine for more fluid port de bras. Students then transition into Adage Band Control, using the band for feedback on turnout, pelvic stability, and supporting-side activation.
Toward the end of class, Upper Body Combination promotes relaxation and fluidity before moving into Resisted Flexibility Flow, which blends calf strength, core control, and dynamic leg mobility. The session finishes with Release the Tension, a simple and calming sequence using the pro-ball to release the neck and upper body.
