Mobility Class 6 – Sub Junior Level, guided by Melissa McCabe, is a complete session that develops the strength, body awareness, and flexibility younger dancers need to move with control and ease.
The class combines cardiovascular activation and core work with targeted exercises that build the muscular awareness needed for clean leg lines — developing pelvic control, posterior chain strength, and balance from multiple positions. Particular attention is given to devant and derrière alignment, helping students understand how the pelvis, rotators, and supporting leg all contribute to the quality of their extensions. The closing sequence releases through the hamstrings, back, and lower limbs, leaving the body genuinely open rather than simply stretched.
Tips
In Upper Body with Fusion Balls, remind students to keep the abdominals engaged — this is what prevents the lower back from compressing as the upper body lifts.
Encourage consistent breath work throughout, particularly during the more demanding holds and stretches.
