Recovery Class 1 – Senior Level, guided by Ella Roper, is the first in a series of short sessions designed to support dancers in their recovery after a full day of dancing.
This class focuses on spinal mobility and breathwork, using gentle, progressive movements to release physical tension and reset the nervous system. The three carefully selected exercises aim to help dancers cool down gradually, maintain healthy flexibility, and reconnect with their bodies through mindful, low-impact movement.
Ideal for the end of a class, rehearsal, or after a performance, this recovery session supports long-term wellness and flexibility by prioritising calm, breath-led mobility.
Tips:
Remind students that recovery is part of training—not an add-on.
Emphasise spinal articulation and breath coordination in restoring postural balance.
Encourage students to stay aware of their alignment, using their breath and gravity to move seamlessly through each stretch, rather than depending on muscular force.
