Fusion Focus Class 3 – Junior Level is a full-body session designed to support young dancers in developing the control, strength, and mobility required for Adagio. While this class takes a holistic approach, there will be a particular focus on alignment and stability in devant, a la seconde, and derrière positions.
Establishing strong fundamentals at the junior level is essential to securing healthy and sustainable technique. This session helps dancers refine their posture, maintain proper pelvic alignment, and learn to move with stability and precision—all while protecting their joints and avoiding unnecessary tension.
Tips:
Encourage dancers to prioritise alignment over height—good placement will lead to stronger and more controlled extensions in the future.
Remind students that Adagio is about control, not just flexibility—core engagement is key to sustaining stable and precise movements.
Help dancers build awareness of how their pelvic alignment and posture affect their balance, reinforcing healthy movement habits from a young age.
