This class continues to develop students’ strength, alignment, and mobility, providing the foundation for refined technique and safe progression.
In this session, students will focus on connecting the upper body, arms, and core with the muscles of the back. This connection supports a stronger, more coordinated port de bras and enhances overall movement quality. The class also addresses foot and ankle alignment — crucial for preventing injuries and preparing for pointe work. Following this, students will work on strengthening and refining alignment in à la seconde and derrière positions to promote stability while maintaining fluidity.
The session concludes with a cool down targeting the posterior chain, with particular emphasis on the hamstrings. This helps to release tension, improve flexibility, and support recovery.
