Welcome to Mini Loop Warm-up 2, guided by Emily Seymour. This class focuses on core integration, hip and leg activation, turnout control, and lower-body strength.
It begins with Core & Hip Warm-up, preparing the torso, hips, and upper body for controlled movement while activating the glutes and hamstrings to support overall stability. Jumping Jacks develop stamina while reinforcing upper body and core strength within a continuous, dynamic pattern. Lower Leg Power reinforces strength and stability through the calves, hamstrings, glutes, and core, while building ankle strength essential for pointe work. The sequence concludes with Powerful Extension, focusing on grand battement power, encouraging strength through the hip flexors and control in extension.
This class builds foundational strength and alignment through the core, hips, and legs, supporting power, control, and clarity in lower-body work.
Tips for Teachers:
• Cue integrated core and upper body engagement while maintaining stability through the hips and legs.
• Observe pelvic placement and turnout control during extension work to avoid gripping.
• Monitor ankle and lower-leg control during Lower Leg Power to ensure strength is built without compromising alignment.
