Mini Loop Warm-up 4, led by Emily Seymour, targets lower body strength, glute and core activation, and upper body strength.

The class opens with Strengthening Adage Control, which builds strength and endurance through the supporting leg while activating the glutes, hamstrings, and core. Powerful Legs follows, targeting the lower body through a progressive sequence that develops leg strength, stability, and control. Upper Body Integration shifts the focus to tricep and core strength, working through plank variations that increase the demand progressively. The class closes with Adagio Resistance 2, a progression of the previous session's exercise, adding greater abdominal demand while also targeting adductor and hamstring strength and flexibility.

Tips:

• Watch for compensation in the supporting leg during Strengthening Adage Control — the glutes and core should be driving the stability, not the barre.

• In Powerful Legs, cue dancers to keep the knee of the supporting leg tracking over the toes throughout the weight shifts.

• In Upper Body Integration, remind dancers to keep the core engaged throughout — especially when transitioning between plank variations.
