Welcome to Recovery Fusion 7 – Senior Level, guided by Melissa McCabe. This session continues the Recovery Fusion series with a focus on pelvic stability, rotational control, and safe flexibility work — all fundamental for sustainable movement as a dancer.

The class opens with Bug with Beat, activating the core and establishing pelvic stability as the foundation for everything that follows. Sliders to Demi Pointe builds on that base, developing hip control and external rotation while challenging the pelvis through the movement of the working leg. Flow with Range then takes the work deeper, using the fusion ball to guide flexibility and turnout development — with particular attention to hip alignment and the balance between parallel and external rotation, making it especially valuable for dancers managing knee hyperextension. The class closes with Deep Front Line Flow, a gentle exercise that releases tension through the front line of the body while keeping the pelvis grounded.

Tips

• In Bug with Beat, ensure students maintain a neutral pelvis throughout — watch for any shift or tilt as the legs move.

• In Sliders to Demi Pointe, watch that the top hip does not roll forward as the leg comes into passé.

• During Flow with Range, emphasise stable hip alignment throughout — remind students to use the fusion ball as feedback for the supporting leg.

• In Deep Front Line Flow, remind students to avoid rib collapse throughout the spiral — the movement should stay long and controlled.
