Amanda started taking dance lessons at the age of three because she was shy, and her mother thought it would be a good way to encourage her to come out of her shell. Over the years, her training has included Ballet,f Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Theatre, Yoga and Pilates. Amanda graduated from York University in Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in 2000. Her studies there included technique classes in Limon and Graham based modern classes, and RAD based Ballet classes. She also studied Anatomy Training for Dance Injury Prevention and Care, Pedagogical training, and training in the history of classical, modern and ethnic dance. She is the Owner and Artistic Director of Not Just Another Dance Studio (NJADS INC) which she founded in 2003. They have 2 locations: their main studio in Hamilton, and their sister studio in Ancaster. Amanda's goal is to create safe and effective training for dancers based on her knowledge and training. The friendly and professional staff at NJADS nurture students to flourish & become passionate and confident dancers.

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is a unique and essential approach to the art form that is ballet. All young dancers should be aware of PBT and I urge them to embrace this revolutionary support system
