Alongside teaching beginners to advanced levels for children aged 4-18 years, she also teaches Silver Swans® ballet classes for the over 55s. Her students have been accepted into some of the top UK full-time ballet schools with scholarships, and frequently has students accepted onto ballet school associate programmes. Johanna is Technical Consultant for one of the UK's largest dancewear manufacturers and distributors. She regularly works with dance students of all ages, vocational dance students and professional dancers in major ballet companies. In July 2018, Dame Darcey Bussell came to join in Johanna's ballet class at the Janet Lomas School of Dancing to film for her BBC documentaryDarcey Bussell: Dancing to Happiness. Johanna's Silver Swans® classes have also been featured on BBC North West Tonight, BBC Radio Manchester and in national newspapers.
