Markella is a London based BASI qualified Pilates instructor. She was introduced to Pilates during her dance training, as a rehabilitation and body conditioning method. She has been teaching Pilates since 2010, and her experience expands within a wide age range and a variety of populations. She specialises in dance body conditioning. She holds a BA in Dance Education and an MSc in Dance Science. She has attended the BASI Pilates for Dancers specialisation with Karen Clippinger and the BASI Injuries and Pathologies advanced education certification with Samantha Wood. She is a Progressive Ballet Technique teacher. Markella is very passionate about kinesiology and functional biomechanics. She enjoys helping dancers improve their technique, strength, flexibility and performance. She works at The Royal Ballet School in London where she teaches Pilates and body conditioning. She also works at The Pilates Clinic in London where she teaches a wide variety of populations. She is a BASI Pilates Faculty member teaching the Mat and Comprehensive Programs.
